Tetra Tech provides lifecycle architect-engineer (A-E), technical design, and project management services to defense agencies worldwide to meet their missions.

We leverage global resources to provide appropriate solutions, design sustainable and resilient infrastructure, and protect and restore environments. Our military portfolio comprises buildings, utilities, airfields, and ports, including in remote, austere, and hostile locations. Our engineers, planners, and facility management experts collect and leverage data to consider seismic, security, and sustainability factors in design and project execution.

We bring extensive military experience and expertise on high-security and classified projects. Our quality management processes and sustainable design experience help clients build mission-critical facilities that meet today’s needs and anticipate future needs.

Pre-Design Services

Our military clients must identify and mitigate technical risks, achieve stakeholder consensus, make mission-critical decisions, and maximize available resources to meet operational requirements. Our defense specialists understand international design standards and host-nation norms and approval processes, master planning guidelines, and strategic business case and detailed business case preparation. We help clients address business and technical risk through engineering investigations, maximize operational efficiency through optimized space and land planning, and validate early decision-making through parametric cost estimating and scheduling. We also provide innovative solutions for procurement integrity (probity) management, funding, stakeholder management, and delivery management.

Design Services

We guide defense clients through all phases of project design, prepare engineering studies, assessments, and concept-through-full design of facilities and infrastructure. We use the latest tools and technologies to support new construction and sustainment, restoration, and modernization initiatives across a portfolio of expeditionary, temporary, and enduring facilities and infrastructure.

Our designers consider the full range of project factors, including lifecycle costs, operations and maintenance (O&M) needs, environmental sustainability and resilience, and advanced security measures to deliver responsive solutions that meet end-user needs. Our work management plan promotes project success through proven quality, schedule, and cost management; effective subcontractor management; and coordinated document control and communication protocols.
