Colby Hoefar Discusses Optimizing the Asset Life Cycle

Colby Hoefar leads Tetra Tech’s Asset Management Program for vertical facilities. He develops strategic, operational, and tactical projects for federal and private facilities across the spectrum of asset management and corporate real estate portfolios.

Colby is a seasoned consultant with direct experience implementing corporate and Department of Defense real estate and facilities management, asset management, operations and maintenance, capital investment strategies, real property inventory requirements, and activity management plans. Colby and his team provide space and occupancy management optimization, real property annual inspections, facility condition and asset lifecycle assessments, BUILDER/ROOFER/PAVER/UTILITIES sustainment management system implementation, general budget and lifecycle planning, and programmatic asset master planning.

Colby specializes in strategic facility management planning, facility operations and maintenance resource optimization, and program overhaul for the federal government. He also provides in-depth analysis of preventative maintenance programs and capital investment planning.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a master’s degree in Engineering and Environmental Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
