Providence, A Tetra Tech Company established and operated a specialist project management office (PMO) to coordinate the implementation of Defence’s Strategic Mobilisation Plan across Defence and other government agencies.
Challenge
The newly established Mobilisation Implementation Directorate within Force Exploration Branch was responsible for implementing the Defence Strategic Mobilisation Plan and its key initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. This required extensive coordination across Defence Groups and Services, engagement with other government agencies, and adaptation to evolving strategic guidance.
Solution
Providence established a specialist PMO comprising program and project management, scheduling, administration and strategic business advisory capability. The team supported the design, development and implementation of the Defence Strategic Mobilisation Plan and coordinated planning and work effort across 407 mobilisation work packages.
Providence established governance frameworks, risk reporting, program controls, performance tracking, and scheduling arrangements. The team also facilitated senior stakeholder workshops and supported Mobilisation Factor Coordinators responsible for progressing the Plan across areas including infrastructure, logistics and fuels, and data and information.
