Challenge
The Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) required experienced project, commercial, and contract management support across complex science and technology programs. Researchers and program leaders needed consistent governance, financial management, procurement, reporting, and project controls without diverting their attention from scientific and technical priorities.
Solution
For a decade, Tetra Tech provided commercial, contracting, and project support to DSTG’s Air-Maritime Division through the Submarine Science and Technology Program. We supported program and project governance, procurement, contract management, budget monitoring, risk management, reporting and compliance with Defence policies and procedures.
The team also supported the transition of relevant research and development contracts, governance arrangements and records following the restructuring of the SEA1000 Future Submarine Program after the AUKUS announcement, while continuing to support Collins Class submarine activities.
