Tetra Tech’s SaaS-based water network management solution, WaterNet™ platform has been selected by United Utilities to support its AMP8 leakage and demand‑reduction goals, as part of its “Every Drop Counts” campaign.
The initial five-year agreement will see WaterNet™ deployed across United Utilities’ operations in the North-West of England, providing a unified, data-driven solution to help reduce leakage, improve demand management, and strengthen overall water infrastructure resilience.
Implementation will be carried out in partnership with Cognizant and Accenture, with initial rollout scheduled to be in Spring 2026.
With WaterNet™, Tetra Tech will provide:
- Smarter tools to find and fix leaks faster, helping teams focus efforts where they’re needed most and meet ambitious leakage reduction goals
- Clear and consistent reporting, making it easier to stay compliant and transparent on key measures like leakage, water use, and abstraction
- Support for improving network resilience, helping teams respond quickly and effectively to operational challenges
- A flexible system that grows with United Utilities, designed to meet their evolving network needs throughout AMP8 and beyond
We’re looking forward to rolling out WaterNet™ – a powerful step forward in our mission to sustainably manage water demand across the region. We have already made great progress in reducing leakage and have ambitious targets for the next five years. The adoption of WaterNet™ is one of the tools we will be using to support our efforts to achieve the significant leakage reductions in our plan.
