We provide opportunities for employees to expand their professional growth at every stage of their careers. Tetra Tech’s professional development programs include in-person and online training; frequent webcasts; and forums that help employees manage projects more effectively, build their leadership skills, and mentor junior staff.

Project Management Training Program

Tetra Tech’s Project Management Training Program addresses all areas of the project life cycle. Developed and delivered by in-house project management experts with vast experience in a wide array of project activities, client types, and contract and delivery order mechanisms, the courses reflect Tetra Tech’s markets and services and provide information and instruction on Tetra Tech’s policies and practices. With online and in-person training, this program helps our project managers expand their knowledge and capabilities to meet Tetra Tech’s high standard for world-class project management. More than 4,500 employees have participated in Tetra Tech’s Project Management Training Program since its inception.

Leadership Academy

Emerging leaders from throughout Tetra Tech’s global operations participate in the company’s Leadership Academy, a corporate professional development program. Based on nominations from operational leaders, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO Dan Batrack selects professionals from around the world to participate in the program. The program enables project managers to enhance their leadership skills to better manage their projects and employees and serve their clients. Participants work with top leaders from Tetra Tech’s global operations; interact with executive management; expand their knowledge of the company; and focus on operational, financial, and interpersonal skills. These individuals are prepared to take on special assignments and become Tetra Tech’s top leaders.

Professional Women’s Network

Founded by Leadership Academy alumnae, the Tetra Tech Professional Women’s Network provides a monthly platform for issues that affect women in the workplace. All women across the company are invited to attend monthly presentations, with topics suggested by network members. Tetra Tech women at various levels of leadership share insights and knowledge acquired throughout their careers. This group provides the opportunity for women at any stage in their careers to ask questions and further their career development by connecting them with mentors across the company. Past topics have included business development and networking with clients, mentoring and requesting feedback, prioritizing and delegating, addressing harassment, and using proper business communication.

Tetra Tech Technology Transfer (T4) and ToolTalk Webcast Series

Tetra Tech holds monthly webcasts to help employees around the world improve their use of available internal tools and to provide better service to clients. Through the T4 and ToolTalk Webcast Series, Tetra Tech experts present and lead discussions about new technologies and programs, best practices, and opportunities for growth across the company. All employees are invited to participate in the live presentations or view webcast recordings, ensuring that we are growing the knowledge, strength, and leadership of employees around the world.
