Geo-environment

Tetra Tech is a leading environmental consultancy with more than 20 geo-environmental experts based in Belfast, supported by 13,000 environmental staff around the world. We provide technical advice and consultancy support to private and public sector clients across a wide range of complex hydrogeological, land quality assessment and remediation, waste characterisation and environment due diligence projects. Our experienced hydrogeologists, engineers, environmental scientists, and geologists use the latest technology and innovative approaches to improve efficiency and reduce costs on our programmes.

Civil and Structural

Our civil and structural engineers provide a wide range of services for design of both new build and refurbishment projects with the aim of improving the infrastructure and buildings that we all use every day. Working for wide range of both public and private sector clients throughout Ireland and the UK, we develop innovative solutions to the most complex challenges. We provide comprehensive advisory, feasibility, design, and construction supervision services. Water and Wastewater

Our dedicated team offers a comprehensive suite of services, including all aspects of water and wastewater projects. We undertake pre-feasibility studies, planning, stakeholder management, sustainable design, procurement, construction administration, supervision, and commissioning. Our clients include local authorities and government bodies, design-build contractors, and many major commercial and industrial companies.

Mechanical and Electrical

Our expert engineering team provides wide-ranging mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities to deliver design and installation advice for all stages of the project life cycle for new and refurbished buildings and infrastructure projects and planning for future expansion and re-engineering to meet changing needs. The team specializes in complex buildings such as healthcare, laboratories, and third-level education and are focused on delivering bespoke solutions which are energy efficient and sustainable. Our expertise includes renewables and passive technologies, heating and cooling, fuel supply and distribution, specialist piped and processed systems, electrical and power supply systems, life safety and security systems, thermal modelling, 3D design, energy analysis, and BREEAM Assessments. The team works across numerous sectors for public and private clients and contractors.

Project Management and Surveying

Our project management (PM) and surveying team coordinate and drive collaboration and innovation to deliver successful outcomes that maximise value with balanced risk for our clients.

Our PM team partner with our clients across their project and programme life cycles. Our adaptable and progressive PM team lead with the digitalization of projects within the built environment to bring project visions to life more effectively by connecting design and construction phases, and reduce risk. We focus on innovation in data management and digital construction and continuously explore emerging technologies. Using controlled and secure Common Data Environments, we offer our clients unrivalled, real-time communication, information sharing, and reporting. Our PMs have extensive experience partnering with our clients across all aspects of building and infrastructure project construction and development, including strategic studies and master planning, risk analysis and management, design stage delivery, programming, procurement, and contract and framework management.

Our quantity surveying team provides our clients with a range of cost consultancy services to deliver projects within budget while maximising investment. Our clients’ financial interests are a fundamental priority for us. We analyse and consider the financial implications at every project stage, with a strong focus on cost control, budgeting, and financial appraisal. Our cost management strategy encompasses various specialist services including feasibility studies and development appraisals, contract and procurement advice, traditional pre- and post-contract services, contractor appraisal and selection, cost planning and management, cost control and change management, value management and engineering, whole life and lifecycle costing, project monitoring, auditing of MTC works and accredited NEC Project Management advice.

Our experienced building surveying team provides a comprehensive and professional suite of services across almost all sectors and building types. We offer a broad range of services to support alteration, refurbishment, and conversion projects in existing buildings. Our core services include design and management of refurbishment and alteration works, dilapidation surveys and advice, condition surveys, pre-acquisition surveys and due diligence, lifecycle and maintenance forecasting, project and quality monitoring, defect diagnosis, and asset management. We also offer statutory compliance reports (e.g., access audits, asbestos surveys) to assist with the management of the built environment.

Our safety management services assist our clients in the management of safety and health in their businesses, addressing legal requirements and providing moral and economic benefits. For construction projects, we provide CDM (NI) 2016 Principal Designer services as well as CDM Adviser support. We also provide Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) services under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. We provide an integrated service that combines workplace health and safety (H&S) management with statutory compliance and asset maintenance with the aim of reducing and effectively managing risk in the workplace. Other services include developing and implementing safety management systems, safe systems of work; and baseline safety management audits.
