USACE Transatlantic Middle East District Architect-Engineer Services
Since 2002, Tetra Tech has provided architect-engineer (A-E) services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM) to support deployed U.S. military services personnel and allied foreign government agencies.
USACE TAM is responsible for developing contingency and enduring military facilities and infrastructure to support U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Forces and foreign military sales (FMS) programs throughout its twenty-country area of operation (AOR). This area is home to a wide range of climates and local labor capabilities, with complex mobilization and security challenges.
Tetra Tech has been the designer of record for more than $1.3 billion in design-build construction projects, providing more than $200 million in A-E services for planning and design of new and rehabilitated facilities and infrastructure in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) AOR. From buildings and utilities to airfield and waterfront facilities, Tetra Tech’s multidisciplinary expertise spans the full range of military installation projects.
Over the course of the more than 15 year relationship with USACE TAM, Tetra Tech has earned favorable performance evaluations as prime contractor. More than 80 percent of our Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting (CPAR) evaluations have earned Exceptional or Very Good ratings for quality, schedule, cost control, and management—and numerous industry awards for engineering excellence.
Working closely with USACE TAM and its customers, Tetra Tech prepares innovative, constructible designs that meet U.S. and host-nation design criteria while operating under extremely tight schedules. Much of this work requires travel to remote, austere, and sometimes hostile project locations that require security and logistics for field teams. Tetra Tech routinely mobilizes teams just a few days after contract award to meet with project stakeholders, perform site assessments, and complete field services. Tetra Tech’s portfolio includes projects in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
