Seaport Square, Parcels B and C (The Via and the Benjamin)

Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection, and code consulting services for the largest mixed-use project in Boston in more than 30 years.

As part of Seaport Square’s Blocks B and C redevelopment project, Tetra Tech provided a residential mechanical system consisting of water-source, vertical-stacked heat pumps, and a separate chilled and hot water plant for retail areas in Block B. The project site contains approximately 832 residential units in two, 19-story towers, three stories of multi-tenanted retail, entertainment, and restaurant services, and an underground garage for approximately 780 parking spaces. The project includes approximately 49,000 square feet of open public space, including the 17,000-square-foot Courthouse Square which serves as both public pedestrian connection and plaza.
