Optimizing Drinking Water Flows in Montreal
Tetra Tech performed a complex water balance project to help optimize drinking water flows in Montreal, Québec.
Tetra Tech oversaw design and implementation of a new drinking water distribution supervision and optimization system, and also helped establish a modern and efficient management and network controls system.
Tetra Tech performed preliminary studies and designs, calculations, and hydraulic modeling for the drinking water distribution system. Tetra Tech also provided supervision during the construction phase, as well as technical support, logistics and management during the preparation of plans and specifications for constructing some 600 measurement and regulation chambers and network supervision and controls (SCADA).
This work involved deploying a network of 150 to 180 district metered areas, including 75 to 90 pressure management areas.
