Tetra Tech Proteus has delivered a wide range of studies and projects to improve the Newmont Asia Pacific gold process plants. The sites include the Boddington, Jundee, and Tanami gold mines. Newmont is the world’s largest gold producer.

The Boddington and Tanami gold mines are owned and operated by Newmont Asia Pacific. The Jundee Gold Mine has been sold to Northern Star Resources Ltd. Boddington is Australia’s largest gold-producing mine; Jundee and Tanami are some of Australia’s most remote operating gold mines.

Over a 10-year period, Tetra Tech Proteus has completed a number of sustaining capital studies and projects to improve plant efficiency. These efforts have enabled the operations to maintain and increase production to increase their profitability. The projects have covered all areas of the processing operation—from crushing circuits through to the milling, gravity, leaching, infrastructure, and bore fields.  

Boddington is about 120 kilometers south of Perth, while Jundee is approximately 700 kilometers northeast of Perth. The Tanami Gold Mine is about 700 kilometers southwest of Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia.
