DNA Laboratory Building, New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner

Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and fire protection engineering for this project, which entailed the consolidation of three separate existing laboratories into a 350,000-square-foot state-of-the-art DNA laboratory building.

The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner includes testing facilities, support laboratories, offices, storage facilities, a training center, a relocated EMS station, and one level of underground parking.

Tetra Tech designed the complete cabling infrastructure for voice and data for this facility and coordinated with utility companies for the relocation of lines and entry points.
