Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications, and audiovisual design services for Devon Energy’s new corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The 1,900,000-square-foot project includes a 1,300,000-square-foot, 900-foot tower with office space and a private club at the top level. The 600,000-square-foot podium includes a 120-foot atrium and rotunda entryway; a 500-seat cafeteria; a 300-seat auditorium; conference and training center; controlled records storage; and gas and fuel marketing (commodity trading area). There is also 1,000,000 square feet of parking.

Tetra Tech designed an underfloor air distribution system using an innovative dual-path, multi-zone system that allows separate perimeter cooling and provides superior comfort control and indoor quality. The system includes Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 13 filtration, system capability to supply an additional 30 percent of ventilation compared to code requirements, and carbon dioxide monitoring as an indicator for air requirements. Information technology services include structured cabling, data center design, and all audiovisual facilities throughout the building with projection and flat-panel displays, sound systems, and remote controls.
