Tetra Tech’s Digital Tools Help A Community Recover After Northern California’s Camp Fire
Tetra Tech’s innovative, digital tools are helping our clients, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), in their efforts to support the community of Paradise, California, to recover after the devastation of the 2018 Camp Fire.
On November 8, 2018, the deadliest fire in California history destroyed the town of Paradise. Our disaster response and environmental teams are working as the environmental and debris monitoring consultant to help clean up 12,000 properties. Our nearly 3,300 team members use our digital tools to track the removal of debris, hazardous waste, and asbestos, enabling the community to rebuild. By the end of this project, the amount of debris removed will be enough to fill a professional football stadium.
