Tetra Tech is furthering our commitment to inclusion in our projects and across our global operations by joining 2XCollaborative, a global group driving gender-smart investment in climate, energy, health, and other sectors.

Tetra Tech has decades of experience implementing energy and international development projects with gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) components. Our GEDSI interventions have improved economic opportunities for women and girls, encouraged men and boys to break biases and champion gender equality, and helped our clients deliver or qualify for gender-smart investment. Through the Engendering Industries program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, Tetra Tech is advancing gender equality in male-dominated industries through support to nearly 100 organizations in 38 countries.

To advance our commitment to GEDSI work globally, Tetra Tech is joining 2XCollaborative, a global industry body focused on increasing the volume and impact of capital directed towards women’s economic empowerment worldwide.

“Tetra Tech is Leading with Science® to deliver solutions that build climate resilience, power better health, and advance inclusive economic prosperity around the world,” said Llyr Rowlands, Unit President. “We are eager to engage with our fellow 2XCollaborative members to increase investment in gender-smart solutions for these critical challenges.”

Jessica Espinoza, CEO of 2XCollaborative, said, “We are pleased to welcome Tetra Tech to 2XCollaborative and look forward to their contributions and perspective as one of the few technical consulting firms in our membership. Tetra Tech’s global experience at the nexus of gender and sustainable energy can offer valuable insights to our working groups, such as the 2X Gender and Climate Finance community of practice.”

Earlier this year, Tetra Tech’s Global Development Services Division endorsed the Minimum Standards for Mainstreaming Gender Equality. Adherence to these standards supports our company mission and strengthens the foundation of our company, enabling us to serve our clients, partners, and communities more effectively and equitably. It also keeps us accountable and transparent in documenting the progress of our gender equality journey.
