Digital Tools Helped a Community Recover After Northern California’s Camp Fire

Tetra Tech’s innovative, digital tools helped the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) in their efforts to support the community of Paradise, California, recover from the 2018 Camp Fire’s devastation.

On November 8, 2018, the deadliest fire in California history destroyed the town of Paradise. Our disaster response and environmental teams worked as the environmental and debris monitoring consultant to help clean up 12,000 properties. Our nearly 3,300 team members used our digital tools to track debris removal, hazardous waste, and asbestos, enabling the community to rebuild. The amount of debris removed was enough to fill a professional football stadium.

Tetra Tech understands the devastating impact wildfires have on residents. By implementing innovative technology solutions, we work with communities to expedite the recovery process and bring normalcy back to the lives of disaster survivors.
