Inventory and Condition Assessments

Tetra Tech deploys multidisciplinary teams to complete asset and condition assessments that enable our clients to analyze their asset performance and undertake whole-life asset planning.

Tetra Tech provides clients with asset strategies and plans that enable efficient and low-risk lifecycle management. Led by accredited asset management experts, our teams design approaches to maximize asset value in accordance with business objectives, stakeholder requirements, legislation, and monetary benefits.

High-quality tactical level knowledge and information is critical to understanding current assets and systems, gaps, and shortfalls; performance; cost and risk controls in place; and the ease of retrieving meaningful decision-making information. We apply this knowledge to help our clients make effective decisions, operate safely, meet regulatory and statutory obligations, align future business strategies, and reduce management costs.

Tetra Tech enables our clients to use data effectively by defining, applying, or aligning the asset inventory and associated data within a structured logical system of taxonomies. This system includes hierarchies within computerized maintenance management systems, asset management software, or enterprise asset management systems. We then tailor our in-house-developed dataset management software to meet each client’s requirements.

Tetra Tech mobilizes survey teams and our in-house-developed software to capture asset information relating to location, age, life expectancy, and degradation factors at sites around the globe. We conduct interviews with facility and utility management and maintenance personnel to identify each asset’s age; condition; performance; system reliability; recent and planned repairs or replacements; operating cost; and detail preventative maintenance schedules accordingly. Once all the asset information and data has been consolidated, we analyze and interrogate the asset data against the hierarchies set. Working with our clients, we set analysis parameters and develop effective asset and maintenance scheduling, ownership costs, lifecycle and energy modeling, and whole-life cost plans to maximize the asset and portfolio value coupled with regular auditing and monitoring of these activities throughout the life cycle.
