Tetra Tech's Solid Waste Solutions Group Becomes a Certified Military Talent Employer
Tetra Tech, a leading provider of consulting and construction services in solid waste and industrial markets, became a NEOVETS Certified Military Talent Employer (CMTE) in May 2018. Through the CMTE certification, Tetra Tech's Solid Waste Solutions group is supporting military members who have served the United States’ greater interests and sacrificed for our welfare.
NEOVETS is a nonprofit organization that assists veterans, guardsmen, reservists, and their spouses in finding civilian employment and transitional support after returning from military service. NEOVETS helps identify the needs of military service members and their spouses and connect them to appropriate service providers including employers, recruiters, universities, community colleges, the Veterans Administration, and loan providers.
“This certification allows us to support our service members and their spouses who have given so selflessly,” said Darwin Nelson, president of Tetra Tech Solid Waste Solutions. “The program allows us to give back by helping our veterans fulfill their career aspirations in our community and across the nation, while also enabling us to attract and retain the right talent for the challenging work we do here at Tetra Tech Solid Waste Solutions. We look forward to this partnership with NEOVETS and the opportunities that lie ahead.”
NEOVETS holds strict standards for becoming a CMTE, which include complete transparency in sharing best practices, proper training, access to internal company veterans resource groups, tailored outreach and targeted recruitment, and overall internal veteran demographic trends. With certification, NEOVETS recognizes the employer as having genuine interests in attracting, hiring, training, and retaining veterans and being committed to service members’ success, which helps promote overall business success.
