“[The] Tetra Tech Team has been recognized for your leadership during the Port of Miami Project. Having been one of the largest environmental projects in the state, the Port of Miami Project involved numerous local, State and Federal agencies in addition to numerous subcontractors. It is well deserved recognition for you and your team’s contribution to the Project’s success.”

Paul Fitzgerald, Vice President, Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals

On December 15, 2015, the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals awarded Tetra Tech the Outstanding Collaboration Award for our work on the Miami Harbor Deepening Project. This award recognizes an individual or team of environmental professionals who have shown exemplary leadership and participation within the scientific community. Tetra Tech was selected for our collaboration efforts with the U.S. federal government, municipalities, and other consulting companies for the project.

As part of the Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company team, Tetra Tech is supporting the widening and deepening of PortMiami to prepare the port for arrival of post-Panamax cargo ships. Tetra Tech is providing environmental management services and mitigation construction activities associated with the dredging contract. Protection of sensitive hardbottom, coral, and seagrass habitat in and around the dredging area contributes to the complexity of the project, making the required environmental monitoring plan the most comprehensive program implemented for a coastal navigation project in the state of Florida.
