Tetra Tech’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is among our core values. We embrace the diversity of thought and experience that is integral to creating innovative solutions.

Through the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) partnership, Tetra Tech will continue to bring together engineers and technical specialists from all backgrounds to solve our clients’ most challenging problems. This approach and our commitment to DEI naturally aligns with NSBE’s mission to “increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.”

Our BELIEVE Employee Resource Group (ERG) is leading our partnership with NSBE. BELIEVE stands for Black Employees Leading in Innovation, Enthusiasm, Vision, and Excellence and was Tetra Tech’s first chartered ERG. Our BELIEVE ERG provides a forum for Black employees and allies from around the world to engage in dialogue and exchange resources on topics such as professional development, mentoring, and networking.

This partnership is part of our commitment to widen the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) pipeline for Black engineers and scientists by driving recruitment and engagement with collegiate and professional NSBE members. Tetra Tech employees will participate in professional and leadership development, mentorship, and career and community service events.

Preston Hopson, Tetra Tech’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary—who also serves as BELIEVE’s sponsor—knows the importance of supporting future Black leaders in engineering and technology. “Tetra Tech and BELIEVE are proud to partner with NSBE in its mission to develop Black engineers and scientists who will have an impact within the profession and their communities,” Preston said. “We are excited about the opportunity to support this important work and the participation of Tetra Tech associates with NSBE chapters around the world.”

Tetra Tech joins an esteemed group of corporate partners supporting NSBE’s strategic goal to inspire and graduate 10,000 Black engineers and scientists each year by 2025. Tetra Tech’s support of NSBE programs, scholarships, and chapters helps create a world where Black students can envision themselves as engineers and scientists.
