Tetra Tech’s Saskatchewan roads and highways group received an ACEC-Saskatchewan 2014 Brian Eckel Award of Merit for the Pilot Butte Interchange Functional Planning Study.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is undertaking improvements along the TransCanada Highway corridor east of Regina to address growing road safety and operational concerns for commuters leaving and returning to satellite communities. This part of the province has the largest rural traffic volume and is the focus of much anticipated residential and commercial development.

Tetra Tech was retained to identify the future interchange requirements for the main access to the town of Pilot Butte. The primary recommendation was to consider an innovative design that met stakeholder and Ministry requirements through a collaborative process.
