Tetra Tech provided civil infrastructure support for Noble Environmental Power’s 67-turbine wind power project in Clinton County, New York—the Noble Clinton Wind Park.

As part of the civil construction effort, Tetra Tech constructed more than 15 miles of access roads to the turbine site. At the site, Tetra Tech helped remove 2,318 linear feet of hedge row stone wall and cleared more than 23.5 acres of land for the turbine installation. Tetra Tech installed drainage pipes and aggregate around the turbine foundations.

Tetra Tech provided an environmental controls crew to ensure compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) requirements, Department of Agriculture and Markets Agricultural Protection Measures, and other project rules. Tetra Tech’s environmental controls team worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation representatives to help ensure compliance.

Tetra Tech completed its Noble Clinton Wind Park civil infrastructure support effort on schedule, in less than 11 weeks. The Noble Clinton Wind Park now provides 100.5 MW of clean, renewable energy—enough to power 33,500 homes.
