Our strength lies in monitoring regulatory developments on our clients’ behalf and anticipating likely response options for meeting their environmental obligations.

Tetra Tech’s regulatory support experience has been developed through projects at thousands of facilities in industries ranging from petrochemicals, refineries, auto body repair, and metal finishing to public utilities, munitions manufacturing, agro-industrial chemicals, printed circuit board manufacturing, and steel foundries, to name just a few. We have completed more than 1,000 media-specific and multimedia compliance audits for major industrial clients and some of the largest federal facilities in the country.

Tetra Tech is the market leader in producer responsibility and product compliance solutions. Our qualified professionals assist companies with hazardous substance inventories, compliance database management, and product compliance reporting. Environmental Management Systems
Our regulatory specialists audit clients’ programs, develop compliance strategies, and secure permits and approvals from local, state, and federal regulators. For maintaining compliance and minimizing our clients’ environmental footprint, Tetra Tech uses its proprietary software, EnviroManager (www.enviromanager.net) to quickly implement and sustainably manage dynamic ISO 14001-compliant Environmental Management Systems (EMSs).

Compliance Programs for Local, State, and Federal Clients
Tetra Tech supports many local, state, and federal regulators as clients, and on their behalf, we complete projects that typically require an understanding of the latest agency policies and guidance, placing Tetra Tech regulatory specialists on the leading edge of most environmental programs. Our work includes field compliance oversight; permit development, review and deficiency notifications; document review; and litigation support. Tetra Tech also applies its extensive experience to regulatory compliance training programs. These programs range from basic Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and health and safety compliance courses to tailored, complex compliance programs of study including hazardous waste response under Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance inspector training, and full-scale disaster management exercises.
