Nuclear Engineering

The outlook for nuclear energy expansion in the United States and worldwide remains strong as new plant build plans are gaining significant momentum. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, world energy demand is expected to grow by more than 50 percent by 2030. This demand, coupled with concerns about climate change and dependence on overseas supplies of fossil fuels, is driving a strong resurgence in nuclear energy.
