Q: What is your title?
A: Chief Structural Engineer and Divisional Vice President.
Q: What projects are you working on now?
A: We have about four to six major projects that we are working on at any time.
We are currently doing the structural engineering for a major water reclamation plant expansion for the Irvine Ranch Water District. For the city of Ontario, California, we are doing the seismic evaluation of ten of their existing portable water storage tanks. We are also working on a design-build project for a 50 million gallon-per-day desalination plant in Huntington Beach, California.
Q: How long have you worked at Tetra Tech?
A: This August will be my 26th year.
Q: What do you like best about working at Tetra Tech?
A: First and foremost, the people I work with and by that I mean my staff. I really enjoy working with them. I also enjoy working with internal clients, including our civil, land development, and transportation groups, and our various external clients. I think we have great clients and I like the sector that we are working in. Finally, I find the work that we are doing rewarding. I guess I wouldn’t be here so long if I didn’t like all of these things!
