Tetra Tech’s wide-ranging, multidiscipline design expertise is derived from a combination of experience and training gained from collaborating with architect-engineer firms and nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) vendors and through new nuclear facility design and construction. Our team supports major commercial reactor types in operation in North America, including pressurized water reactors (PWRs), boiling water reactors (BWRs), and pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs), providing proven processes that reinforce control, feedback, and continuous improvement.  

Tetra Tech maintains its own 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance (QA) Program, as well as providing our clients with certified lead auditors, technical specialist support, third party audits, QA program assessments and improvements, and QA program training. We independently prepare and review safety-related calculations and reports that emphasize logic, clarity, consistency, and completeness or perform such activities using the client’s QA Program.  

In addition, Tetra Tech’s Canadian offices maintain a separate quality management system, which has undergone external audits to ensure compliance with the CSA / N285, ASME App. XXIII; CSA / N286.2; CSA / N286-05; CSA / N286.7; ISO9001:2008; and CSA / Z299.1 standards.
